Grandma

They said one day, “Your Grandma has gone away, to a beautiful place beyond.”

But what they don’t know is she’ll never go because a piece of her lives on in me.

Grandma lives on in me you see, My Grandma lives on in me. She is with me when I bake a pie. She is with me when I see a butterfly. She is with me helping my plants grow. She is with me watching our favourite show. She is with me when my kite does blow. She is with me on the sandy beach below. She is with me when I sing a song. She is with me all day long.

She’ll be with me when I have my own grandkids. Especially when I tell them this,

“My Grandma lives on in me you see, Now my Grandma lives on in we.”
